A team of 6 professionals, comprising of an ophthalmologist,
2 optometrists, 2 orthoptists and a third year optometry student, are currently screening children for refractive errors, squints etc in three primary schools in the Balaka region of Malawi.

The schools are:
Bakhita Primary School, Balaka, Malawi
400 children to be screened.
Liwonde Primary School
Mponda Primary School

Current Projects....
Dr Andrew Feyi-Waboso is the Honourary Senior Lecturer at The University of Malawi, College of Medicine and he is actively involved with the teaching of Ophthalmology students.
Mr Peter Hong has also been involved in training staff and Clinical Officers at The College of Medicine.


2.5 acre site for the eye clinic.

August 2014: A team of professionals and students will be travelling out to Mzuzu, Malawi to conduct an eye project. The eye project will consist of a school screening project in schools and the local community and cataract eye surgery. The work will be done under the auspices of Onani Eye Foundation and healthcare workers will work collaboratively with Mzuzu Hospital staff and the church.
