A delegation from the charity are currently out in Malawi, working on projects including occupational therapy and increasing the availability of blind football.
We first introduced blind football to Malawi 5 years ago and it has proved very popular amongst the students at St Montfort College. We are now trying to give as many children as possible the chance to play and on this visit we are therefore focussing on training teachers from other schools in the region, so that they can organise football sessions for their own students.
We have been delivering the equipment which has been kindly donated - both for the football and ophthalmological equipment for the local hospital. And our volunteers have been painting the classrooms to give the students a nicer environment in which to learn. A full account will follow on their return!
